FEZ: Rojo, el cordón de la borla, corona y fleco estaba atado a una pequeña extensión (del mismo color del fez) en la parte trasera en azul cielo, indicando el primer batallón. La cabeza estaba afeitada hasta el punto de no verse el pelo una vez puesto el fez.
CHAQUETA: Azul cielo. Todos los cordoncillos y vivos en amarillo. Botones en metal blanco.
CHALECO: Azul cielo con cordoncillos alrededor del cuello y pecho en amarillo.
FAJA: Rojo carmesí.
PANTALÓN: Blanco.
BOTAS: Negras.
POLAINAS: Blancas con botones blancos.
MOCHILA: Cuero de becerro con correas en cuero (hebillas en latón). La tienda estaba envuelta alrededor y hecha de lona. Los palos de la tienda eran en madera con una rosca de conexión en metal. El capote enrollado era azul cielo y el plato en hojalata.
MORRAL: Lino natural, botones en metal.
CANTIMPLORA: En metal o cubierta en material azul cielo. Las correas en negro.
CORREAJES, FRONTALES, CARTUCHERA TRASERA Y FUNDA BAYONETA: Negro con herrajes en latón.
BAYONETA: Empuñadura en latón y funda en metal blanco.
RIFLE: En madera con ajustes en metal blanco. La correa en negro o marrón con hebillas en latón.

PAINTING GUIDE

FEZ: Red. The tassel cord, crown and fringe was
tied to the short length of material (same colour
as fez) at the back of the fez and was sky blue
denoting the first battalion. The head was shaved
to a point where no hair would be visible when
fez was worm.
JACKET: Sky blue. All piping and braid was yellow.
A red insert within each “loop” on the front of the
jacket denoted the first regiment. The buttons were
white metal. Lined in off-white.
WAISTCOAT: Sky blue with yellow braid around the
neck and down the centre.
SASH: Crimson. PANTALOONS: White.
GAITERS: White with white buttons.
BOOTS: Black.
BACKPACK: Calf hide with black leather straps (brass
buckles). The tent was wrapped around the pack and
was made from canvas. The tent poles were wooden
and had a white metal screw connection. The rolled
cape was sky blue and the mess tin white metal.
KNAPSACK: Natural linen. With white metal buttons.
WATERBOTTLE: White metal or covered in sky blue material. The strap was black.
WAISTBELT: Black with brass fittings.
BAYONET: Brass handle and hilt with a white metal
scabbard.
RIFLE: Wood with white metal fittings.The strap was black or brown with a brass buckle.
